Australian National Botanic Gardens
The Australian National Botanic Gardens (ANBG) are located at the base of Black Mountain, close to Canberra City in the ACT. It maintains a living collection of over 6,600 native species from across Australia. It also researches and cultivates plants which are threatened in the wild in the hope of re-introducing them to their natural habitats.
Booderee Botanic Gardens
The Booderee Botanic Gardens house a collection of over 1,600 native species of from south east coastal Australia, with a strong emphasis on the local region. The gardens are located in Booderee National Park and have a focus on the Koori interpretation of traditional plant use.
Norfolk Island Botanic Garden
The Norfolk Island Botanic Garden, which covers an area of 5.5 ha, is home to more than 45 flora species endemic to Norfolk Island. The garden contains a small remnant of the subtropical viney hardwood forest that once covered much of the foothills of Norfolk Island.
