Rock Art Sites
Rock art is extremely important to the Aboriginal owners of Kakadu. The art is an outstanding example of people's interaction with the natural environment, and is an important historic and scientific record of human occupations of the region. Some of the paintings are extremely fragile and can be damaged by people, water, large animals and insects.
